DO NOT DRY CLEAN YOUR SUIT, EVER!!
If at all possible – wash your suit before wearing it for the first time. Wash it in cold water with 1 to 1-1/2 cup of white vinegar. This helps set dyes in the suit and embroidery thread. Hang out of direct sunlight to dry. To wash your dirty suit – Follow closely; it could get tricky! Simply take it home, run a tub full of water, zip it all the way up and close all the Velcro. Throw it in a bathtub full of cold water. Walk away! Go to bed, go wash the racecar, get a massage, take a vacation, anything you want just let it soak! We find a 6-8 hour nap does the trick. When you wake in the morning and go to the bathroom, the tub will look like someone ate Oreos in the bathtub or if you live in the south, it will look like someone made tomato soup in the tub. Drain the tub, rinse it out and rinse off the suit. Refill the tub with warm, almost hot water and add 1 scoop of the Velocita suit wash powder. Scrub the embroidery with a toothbrush, preferably one you wont be using on your teeth, and scrub the suit by hand. Once you have it all scrubbed, rinse once again and in hang it up to air dry, never in direct sunlight, but outside is fine.
If you must use the washing machine pre treat all stains with non bleach stain remover and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. When you are ready to wash, turn the suit inside out, (zipper zipped, Velcro closed) and wash on gentle with one scoop of Velocita suit wash powder. Wash on cold and make 10000% sure the tub is clean and the machine has been run through a wash cycle with NOTHING in it at all; no soap, no bleach, no clothes. This will insure nothing is in the lining of pipes of the washer to damage your suit. After you wash it, hang it up to air dry, never put it in the dryer!
Let’s just say that it smells bad, but really isn’t dirty. Don’t wash it at all. Hang it up to air dry. After a day or so, put it in the freezer for at least 36 hours and magic will occur! The freezer will kill all of the odor causing bacteria! If you have stubborn stains, you can use a non bleach stain remover and gently scrub. DO NOT DRY CLEAN!
